This is a really great Wiki site. It overviews what social bookmarking is and how students can use it. This wiki has a lesson plan on incorporating social bookmarking into the classroom. This wiki does a great job of cautioning the teacher on proper web etiquette.

Sounds interesting, how the technique used for the optimizing the search engines could be used for educative purposes. Social bookmarking is a very good technique that yields good results and the same thing would apply in this case also and have effective learning.
